Not even 72 hours have passed since the most anticipated ‘I do’ of the year. The now Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan and Harry had a grandiose ceremony in the beautiful St. George’s Chapel, where other royal weddings have taken place, such as Albert Edward, Prince of Wales and Alexandra of Denmark in 1863 (later Edward VII and Queen Alexandra respectively), Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex and Sophie Rhys-Jones on June 19, 1999 and Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla of Cornwall on April 9, 2005.
In this kind of events, we do not only think about who is getting married that day as in a normal wedding. But also about which celebrities will attend the event and what they will combine them with. This royal wedding was not just another wedding, especially for the bride, Meghan Markle. Who besides having countless Hollywood actors and actresses as friends, has a very marked personality and styles and we were looking forward to seeing it at the royal wedding.
Let’s make a compilation of the most talked about looks:
Here it goes!
Meghan Markle opted for a very elegant design by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy to the arrival of the church, with a large veil and the tiara of the Order of Splendor, borrowed by Queen Elizabeth II herself along with discreet earrings by Cartier. The dress had a boat neckline and no flashy details, very simple for a very successful figure. We love that she didn’t dress up in a very opulent gown and stayed true to her style. But the dress that made us fall in love was the dress chosen for the reception. The new duchess wanted to wear a second dress, signed by designer Stella McCartney. Discreet also with halter neck that from our point of view was simply exquisite, the fall, the fabric, the cut… it fit her like a glove.

Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge married to Prince William went once again to her reference designer and wore a custom-made piece by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. If you remember, she opted for this same designer for both her wedding and that of her sister Pippa Middleton. At INVITADISIMA we believe that not only was she sophisticated, but she subtly left all the limelight to Meghan, without losing an ounce of style or elegance. The Duchess of Cambridge chose this cream-colored outfit combined with a headdress of the same color and a nude shoe. What we like the most is that she was wearing her second daughter Charlotte, a cutie!

As we have been commenting, another spectacular guest was Pippa Middleton, who, along with her mother, chose the mint color. Pippa has given much to talk about, as her dress has been said to be sold out in the coming days, not to say hours! The chosen firm was The Fold London, a very elegant dress that conveys freshness and beauty with a floral print and long sleeves, and of course, nude shoes and a matching headdress.

Another guest in the same green tones, was the mother of the bride, Doria Ragland, we have to say that this two-piece Oscar de la Renta, we have to say that she looked spectacular, she knew how to be at the height of the event. She decided to combine it with a Stephen Jones headdress and nude shoes. We admit that she was the most daring without any doubt, since like her daughter, she stayed true to her personality and wore a small nose piercing without fear of comments.

Let’s talk about royalty in the celebrity world, we are talking about Amal and George Clooney, that perfect couple, even for guests! Amal attended in a midi dress by British designer Stella McCartney, with short sleeves, cinched waist and pencil skirt silhouette. We love the matching headpiece and her gold shoes – a great look!

Finally, it wouldn’t be a royal wedding without Her Majesty. Probably the most powerful woman in the world, Queen Elizabeth II, chose one of her signature colors: bright green, a Stewart Parvin design composed of a coat and matching skirt, a purple feathered hat, white gloves, a brooch and of course, the famous black bag. This design has been one of the most commented. What do you think about it? Tell us in the comments!
